Avid Systems is seeking a high-performing Account Executive with deep experience selling into the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its component agencies. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of direct sales or account management experience supporting DHS (CBP, ICE, TSA, FEMA, USCIS, CISA, USSS, etc.) and a proven record of identifying, pursuing, and closing opportunities within the DHS mission space.

This role is responsible for driving revenue for Avid Systems’ Business Applications Practice, with a focus on Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365–based solutions. You will manage the full federal sales cycle, cultivate long-term relationships, and partner closely with our delivery teams to support successful outcomes for DHS clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Federal Business Development (DHS Focus)
  • Serve as primary growth lead for Avid Systems within DHS and its components, driving strategy and account penetration.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities aligned with DHS mission priorities, IT modernization roadmaps, and BPA/IDIQ vehicles.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each component’s mission sets, operational challenges, acquisition patterns, and stakeholder landscape.
  • Navigate DHS procurement pathways, including SOW/RFQ responses, OTAs, BPAs, and agency-specific buying channels.
  • Maintain executive-level and working-level relationships across DHS program offices, contracting offices, and technical leadership.
Sales & Account Management
  • Lead the full sales lifecycle—from discovery through capture, proposal, orals, negotiation, and close.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Power Platform/D365 SMEs, and delivery leads to shape solutions tailored for DHS environments.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and account plans using Dynamics 365 or equivalent CRM.
  • Represent the BizApps practice at DHS-focused events, industry days, and professional forums.
Internal & External Collaboration
  • Work with Marketing to build DHS-specific messaging, capability statements, and campaigns.
  • Bring competitive and market intelligence to leadership to guide practice expansion in the federal market.
  • Ensure seamless customer hand-off to delivery teams and maintain involvement to support renewal and growth.

Qualifications

Required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling to, supporting, or managing accounts within DHS or its components (CBP, ICE, TSA, FEMA, USCIS, CISA, USSS, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success managing federal accounts and closing complex technology or professional services deals.
  • Experience with solutions involving Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure, workflow automation, or application modernization.
  • Strong understanding of DHS acquisition processes, stakeholder mapping, and organizational structures.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-development skills.
  • Ability to work with technical teams and translate business needs into solution concepts.
Preferred
  • Existing relationships with DHS program managers, contracting officers, and digital modernization leads.
  • Experience with federal IT security requirements (FedRAMP, FISMA), cloud adoption, and low-code/no-code platforms.
  • Background working with GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs, or DHS-specific contracting vehicles.
  • DHS suitability or ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
  • Ideal candidate would be located in the DMV area.
